« Two composers born in the same year in the same region, with a mutual admiration beyond rivalry, but who never met. Two composers blinded by the same doctor. This incredible fate inspired me to imagine a real encounter between them, to hear their music in an almost contemporary way. From a temporal point of view, it was almost impossible: you play Bach or you play Handel. But thanks to this programme, we will experience a dialogue between them, as if each had been asked to compose in turn in a specific style. With the help of exceptional soloists, singers and musicians, we'll experience a real composition course that will show us how each of them worked. »
