Cappella Mediterranea's concert Mediterráneo offers a fascinating journey through Spanish and Mediterranean music. This eclectic programme highlights the poetic and musical work of Joan Manuel Serrat, a giant of Spanish song, while harmoniously integrating it with pieces from the Spanish Siglo de Oro.
The ensemble explores some of Serrat's most iconic songs, such as Mediterráneo and Aquellas pequeñas cosas, transposed into polyphonic madrigals and arranged for period instruments such as the viola da gamba, harpsichord, recorder and guitar. An invitation to rediscover these songs in a new light, while celebrating the cultural heritage of the Mediterranean.
