Coming from the great Parisian orchestras, the musicians who make up the Sirba Octet have taken up the challenge of positioning themselves halfway between classical music and the traditional music of Eastern Europe.
With Tsuzamen, they pay tribute to three peoples who have suffered genocide - the Roma, the Jews and the Armenians - whose paths of exile criss-cross Europe, carrying with them their culture and language, their music and their songs. A journey into the land of traditional and popular Yiddish, Armenian and Gypsy music, radiating nostalgic and festive colours.
Cyrille Lehn's arrangements are like lace, every line of which you can savour, magnificently served by musicians who give these melodies all their letters of nobility.
