Dance Area Genève and La Cité Bleue have joined forces for a new work set within the unique world of Sadeck Berrabah, a leading figure in the contemporary dance scene. With Murmuration, the choreographer established an instantly recognizable signature style: a highly precise movement language in which bodies trace lines, unfold into geometric figures, and merge into a hypnotic collective movement inspired by flocks of birds in flight.

Murmuration – Blue Edition is a reimagining of this work, conceived as a recreation specifically for La Cité Bleue. Ten young dancers from Dance Area embrace this demanding and visual language, where every gesture counts and where the individual is part of an overall architecture. The choreography becomes a living organism, in constant transformation, where the group breathes, vibrates, and evolves in unison.

In this version, dance enters into a close dialogue with the music, not merely as an accompaniment, but as a structuring force. Conceived as a laboratory for artistic transmission, the project allows these young performers to engage with highly demanding choreography while bringing forth a new energy. Murmuration – Blue Edition transforms the stage into a space of precision, confidence, and transcendence, featuring some of today’s most striking choreography.
