For each production, Swisslab offers various ways to explore the experience further: tune in with pre-concert talks, chat with the artists during meet-and-greets, explore the themes in greater depth through lectures and exhibitions, take part in introductory workshops, leave with a carefully selected book, or browse freely on the digital table to extend the adventure however you like!
Pre-concert events
One hour before the performances, our guest artists will offer an introduction to the show: the project’s origins, artistic choices, behind-the-scenes stories… A special opportunity to engage with the show and gain new insights into it.
The stage edges
The “stage edges” (or “front-of-house areas”) invite you to stay in the auditorium to chat directly with the performers right after the show, while the experience is still fresh. You’ll be able to ask them anything you like!
The lectures
To explore the most fascinating topics covered in our shows in greater depth! Guest experts take the stage to broaden perspectives and delve deeper into the themes raised by our programming—whether artistic, historical, literary, scientific, or social.
Exhibitions
La Cité Bleue is also a space for visual and artistic exploration. Its walls and common areas regularly host exhibitions designed to showcase emerging artists, celebrate notable careers, or expand on the themes of a performance. Be sure to check out these temporary exhibitions whenever you visit!
Book sales
In partnership with the Atmosphère bookstore and gallery, La Cité Bleue regularly offers a selection of carefully curated books that reflect the themes of its programming. Available at the reception desk and at the Blue Note Café one hour before and after the relevant performances.
Introductory workshops
Contemporary dance, Argentine tango, singing, instrumental music, creative arts, or martial arts… Our hands-on workshops invite you to step behind the scenes for a session. Always tied to our programming, they’re open to everyone, with no prerequisites.
Digital table
Freely accessible at the Blue Note Café, the interactive table invites you to take a behind-the-scenes look at our creations: photos, video clips, artist interviews, archives, and other behind-the-scenes insights. And don’t forget the games! 😊 It’s a space to explore on your own or with friends.
