Early music, timeless fragrances
With Parfums, the concert becomes a total sensory experience. The music of the late Renaissance and early Italian Baroque is enhanced by a unique olfactory dimension: three fragrances, diffused throughout the space via a spatialization system designed by Studio Magique, gradually envelop the audience and interact with the performed works.
An invisible architecture takes shape, between sensual motets and the rose of Djebel Akhdar, between floral madrigals and Dhofar incense, fusing pastoral dialogues and the “arabi odori” mentioned in historical sources and recreated by Alexandre Helwani. The diffusers, in sync with the score, sculpt the air like a second orchestra.
The protagonist of this concert is the Ensemble Agamemnon, founded by cornetist and artistic director François Cardey, which is dedicated to the rediscovery of 17th-century Italian and Germanic repertoires, opening a space of resonance between Europe and the Arabian Peninsula, between memory, scents, and the imagination. A concert to listen to, to breathe in, to feel.
