In 2026, La Cité Bleue will celebrate the third edition of the Radu Lupu Prize, established by the foundation of the same name to support young talents whose artistic intensity and musical sensitivity reflect the spirit of the great Romanian pianist. Radu Lupu, renowned for his unique touch and inner poetry, has left an indelible mark on the history of the piano through deeply human and inspiring interpretations, particularly of Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms.

The first two editions have already revealed remarkable musical talents: in 2024, pianist Vsevolod Zavidov stood out for his maturity and sensitivity, before going on to pursue a brilliant international career, and in 2025, it was the young cellist Maxime Grizard who won the prize, driven by a rare depth of expression.

This new edition once again offers the public the opportunity to discover an exceptional new performer, the winner of the Radu Lupu Prize, in a recital that promises to be a moment of grace and emotion, faithful to the artistic rigor and quest for truth that were at the heart of Lupu’s playing.
